このたびYODOYAは、『システムはアートをよくするのか？アートはシステムをよくするのか？』を開催いたします。これは、天野太郎(キュレーター)と緑川雄太郎(ディレクター)が「アートとシステム」について話すトークイベントです。 グローバル化したアートワールドにおいて、アートとシステムは切り離すことができません。よりよいアートはよりよいシステムが必要であり、よりよいシステムはよりよいアートが必要です。しかし、本当にそうなのでしょうか？ 例えば、ディナ・ヤゴは「UGCとしてのアート」に関してe-fluxでこう述べています。UGC(ユーザーが生み出すコンテンツ)としてのアートには「批評がなく、その取引においてアーティストにとって力のある立ち位置はない。わたしたちはこのような仕事の形式への理解を変更しなければならないし、目の前のご馳走の向こう側にいるブランドによって動かされているという点を認めなければならない」[1]。あるいは、アニメ『サイコパス』では、安全を管理するシステムが、それを維持するためにシステムの外部にいる犯罪者を取り込むという近未来SFを描いています[2]。 この世界には、システムに合わないアートや、アートと合わないシステムがあることもまた事実です。このトークイベントでは、現在のアートワールドにおけるアートとシステムの関係性について考えます。 ぜひお越しください。 【 日時 】 2017年9月2日(土)午後6-8時 【 入場 】 無料 【 定員 】 ２０名 【 ご予約 】 info@y-o-d-o-y-a.com 【 会場 】 YODOYA 〒583-0852 大阪府羽曳野市古市4-4-18 YODOYA is pleased to host a talk event entitled “SYSTEM MAKES ART BETTER? ART MAKES SYSTEM BETTER?” by curator Taro Amano and director Yutaro Midorikawa. In the globalized art world, art and system can't be separated. Better art needs better system and better system needs better art. But is that true? For instance, "There is no critique, no position of power for the artist in this exchange", Dena Yago mentions "Art as UGC" at e-flux. "We must shift our understanding of this form of work and acknowledge the way that it is being instrumentalized by brands on the other side of the feed." [1] Or an animation "PSYCO-PASS" depicts a near future sci-fi that system for controlling the safety integrates some criminals who are in the out of system in order to maintain itself. [2] It's also a fact that there are art that doesn't fit system and system that doesn't fit art in this world.
